Drip of Time (2025)

This work visualizes the slow accumulation of time, inspired by stalactites formed by dripping water in caves. Just as stalactites are created through natural processes—dripping, sedimentation, crystallization—the recycled glass is shaped through melting, gravity, and forming, integrating the natural with the artificial. The project explores how time and material intersect through the language of light and structure.

Glass is “nature melted by time,” while stalactites are “nature shaped by time.” Both involve transformations of matter—one through natural processes, the other through human intervention. The piece blurs the boundary between organic and manufactured forms, reflecting on the coexistence of memory and material, and suggesting ideas of sustainability, transformation, and circularity.
